We want everyone to be able to use this site, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or a phone.
What we have done
- Pages work with a keyboard, and a “Skip to content” link appears first.
- Text and backgrounds are chosen for good contrast.
- Pages can be zoomed and work on small screens without sideways scrolling.
- Headings and lists are marked up so screen readers can navigate them.
- The guides and law tracker can be read without JavaScript.
- Animations are reduced if your device asks for less motion.
Our aim
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2at level AA.
Known limitations
The site has not yet had an independent accessibility audit, so there may be problems we have not found. Some links lead to other websites, which we do not control.
